Baja California’s Diverse Navigation Spots

La Paz
Set sail towards Espiritu Santo Island and explore the San Gabriel Bay, approximately 18 miles away. Anchor in this sheltered bay protected by sandy shores, and be captivated by the clear depths of the sea. As the sun sets early, chart a course to Caleta Partida or Ensenada Grande, both around 13 miles away, offering larger and more sheltered anchorages than Espiritu Santo.

San Evaristo
A highly recommended stop is “Los Islotes,” renowned for its sea lions basking on the rocks. Northeast, discover Partida Island, then sail towards San Jose Island to spend the afternoon in Bahia Amortajada, surrounded by giant cactus forests and lagoons. Northward Bound
Continue your journey northward, sailing towards Nopolo and encountering numerous fishing villages accessible only by boat.

Bahía Agua Verde

For an overnight stay, head to Puerto Escondido, one of the most sheltered ports in the area, allowing you to replenish water and fuel. Take a taxi to Loreto for additional provisions.

Islas del Carmen and Danzante
After restocking, explore the southern part of Isla del Carmen and Isla Danzante. Visit different bays with distinct features and sail to spend the night in the shelter of Bahía Agua Verde.

San Cosme
After breakfast, explore Isla San Cosme, usually making it a day stop before spending the night in Puerto Los Gatos.

Isla San Jorge

Return to La Paz
